NEWARK -- Salesianum School was a runaway boys winner and the Brandywine girls put together another victorious effort at Friday's Delaware Invitational cross country meet at White Clay Creek State Park.

Sallies won the boys race with 37 points, with Middletown second at 108. The Brandywine girls scored 52 to place first ahead of A.I. du Pont (86) and Ursuline (96).

Tatnall's Meredith Lambert won the girls race in 19 minutes, 3 seconds, finishing ahead of Ursuline's Colleen Taylor by more than a minute. The boys race was won by Caesar Rodney's Matt Gordineer (17:03).
